It may not seem obvious, perhaps, but the colouring style of this page and the pages thereafter is significantly different than the previous ones. Up until this point, I was mostly experimenting with digital painting with freely available brushes provided very kindly by many wonderful Deviant Artists. Of course, I've had to choose only the ones who have given the brushes away without the need for attribution. The reasons for this will have to be discussed for another time but as a gist, it mostly involved convenience and ethics.

Anyway, this page probably means a lot more to me than it does to anyone else. By now, I've already had much more experience in "colouring in" so I was able to make much larger decisions on my approach at tackling the colours for the comic book. The feeling of being too overly precious with my choices and just going at it from a fearless angle began to take shape. Most of this was purely mental stress from not doing a good enough job and fucking up other people's work; I did not want to disappoint Jerem, Michael or Greg who had worked tirelessly at the project since I, technically, was responsible for the final touches and thus, the presentation of the whole darn thing.

And so I did - go at it like a mad person on stilts with brushes as appendages and loving every moment of it as the resulting effect. I've probably mentioned a similar process in the past but this time, I was finally having actual fun playing around with the colours and applying it. Why didn't I do this at the beginning?
